Well, like I said before: I was 18 the last time the Yanks weren't in the playoffs. Their game's on TV, with a chance to see them eliminated, and as a bonus, on their special night. Now, granted, we've been watching the Woodstock movie for the last couple innings, but of course I'm interested in this game!

Nix--good point--the "real" fans didn't even get their farewell, as they couldn't get into last night anyway. They should've surprised everyone and done the ceremony Saturday.
So many real fans were locked out of the entire season. I had several friends go up to the Bronx with their families, and find the cheapest tickets available were $75 for the far reaches of the upper deck. They couldn't do it and left.
the real fans got to say their goodbye when we stomped their asses in the bronx that last 3 game series!
