G2: Rangers 10, Red Sox 4

Red Sox 000 001 012 - 4 10 0
Rangers 400 301 20x - 10 13 0
Tim Wakefield did not have it tonight. The first four Texas batters: single, stolen base, walk, passed ball, RBI single, 3-run homer. 4-0. There was a double and another passed ball before the inning was over.

Phil Nevin (he hit the HR) added a two-run single in the third that ended Wake's night: 3.2-7-7-3-3 (yet he also retired seven in a row at one point).

Coco Crisp got three hits, stole a base and scored the first two Boston runs. ... Manny Ramirez went 0-for-4 with 3K, frustrated all night trying to pull outside fastballs. ... Kevin Youkilis got his first hit of the year, a double in the 7th. ... Rudy Seanez loaded the bases in the 8th on a single and two walks, but then got three outs: K, P2, 4-3. ... Wily Mo Pena (pinch-hitting in the 9th) ripped the second pitch he saw for an opposite field RBI double.

In Houston: Shortstop Hanley Ramirez, batting leadoff for Florida, went 4-for-5 with 3 RBI.
