Crisp Avoids Arb; BlogWatch Returns

The Red Sox avoided arbitration by agreeing on a $2.75 million contract for 2006 with Coco Crisp. The center fielder is under Boston's control through 2009. After finally announcing its deal with shortstop Alex Gonzalez, the club designated Roberto Petagine for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.
